A few weeks back I made an eye doctors appointment at Lens Crafter’s. Before this appointment, the last time I remember being in a eye doctors office was when I was in 8th grade. As far as vision goes, I take after my Dad, who up until a few years ago had 20/20 his whole life. I got the good eye genes, but I think staring at a computer for 8 hours at work combined with my hour or 2 of computer geek activities a day had taken a toll on my eyes. I was getting those same headaches that I remember getting when I was a kid and they said I needed reading glasses. Since I was about due for a checkup anyway, I headed over and prepared myself for the worst.
The doctor said my vision was good, I was just having some trouble focusing and recommended readers. I picked up a cheap pair at the drugstore tonight. I’m officially a nerd now.
The picture was taken with my webcam and is pretty crappy. I always forget my laptop has a webcam since I never use it. I think if I had more lights in the living room it would prevent me from looking green.
