For my Dad’s birthday 2 weeks ago, I bought him tickets to the Rays game that was last night. He’s never been to a game and kept saying how he really wanted to go. I never know what to get him for his birthday, so I thought that tickets to a game would be way cooler than a gift card to Applebee’s.
We all headed to St. Pete (Dave, me, my Mom, and my Dad) early yesterday. Dave and I took my parents to Burrito Boarder (the BEST place for burritos around). They liked the food a lot. My Dad kept commenting on how good the salsa was.
We headed to the stadium and got to our seats just in time for the national anthem. The stadium was PACKED and the game was really exciting. We won, and my winning streak still stands! The Rays haven’t lost a game that I’ve gone to. If I was able to go to every game, they’d be in the world series again for sure.
After the concert there was a free Pat Benitar concert. She sang really well. Even though she’s more from my parents time, I really like her music. She put on a good show!
The gift was a definite success. My parents kept commenting on how much fun they were having the whole night. A few years ago, I probably would’ve though hanging out with my parents on a Saturday night was lame, but now that I’m older I realized ow much fun my parents can be. We all had a great time and wouldn’t mind hanging out with them again on a Saturday night.
